Awareness Programme on Mediation Advocacy for Lawyers held at Thiruvananthapuram

The second in the series of Awareness programme on Mediation Advocacy for the nominated Advocates was held at Government Guest House, Thycaud, Thiruvananthapuram on 05.08.2017. the Awareness Programme on Mediation Advocacy for nominated Advocates commenced at 9 am with inaugural session. Sri. P.K. Aravinda Babu, Director, Kerala State Mediation and Conciliation Centre delivered a brief introductory remarks about the Awareness programme. Sri. K.Haripal, District Co-ordinator and Principal District Judge, District Mediation Centre, Thiruvananthapuram, welcomed the participants. Hon’ble Mr. Justice K. Surendra Mohan, President, Board of Governors, Kerala State Mediation and Conciliation Centre inaugurated Refresher Programme by lighting the traditional lamp and addressed the gathering. President, Bar Association, Thiruvananthapuram and Co-ordinator (Mediator), District Mediation Centre, Thiruvananthapuram offered felicitation. The Awareness Programme in three sessions was conducted by the Mediator Trainers of KSMCC. The first session was conducted by Sri. George Merlo Pallath. The second session was handled by Smt. Jyothi Gopinathan and the third session by Sri. Sreelal Warrier. This was followed by the concluding session at 3.30 pm, which included interaction and concluding remarks, feedback from the mediator trainers and one of the participants. Sri. Siju Shiek, Sub Judge and Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Thiruvananthapuram, extended vote of thanks. The programme concluded with recital of National Anthem.
